PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF 110 BUS SHELTERS
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31
et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and
regulations. NJ TRANSIT requires bidders utilizing Disadvantaged Business
Enterprise (DBE) subcontractors/vendors/suppliers to comply with all aspects
of NJ TRANSIT’s DBE Program in the use of DBE’s. This is a Race Neutral
Project (RN).

ONGOING PROJECT OPPORTUNITIES:
NJ TRANSIT’s Pre-Bid Conference will be held utilizing a telephone and
video conference via Microsoft Teams, which is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. ET,
Thursday, May 15, 2025 (subject to change by Addenda) to the IFB, for the
purpose of discussing general information relating to the project. There will be
no site visit for this contract.
All 昀椀rms must be prequali昀椀ed by NJ TRANSIT prior to submitting a Bid. Bidders must be prequali昀椀ed for “BC” – Building Construction – (Non-Operating Railroad Environment) as a “GC” (General Contractors) for an amount of
work that is equal to or greater than their bid amount. NJ TRANSIT suggests
a minimum rating of “I” ($1,000,001 to $2,000,000). Prequali昀椀cation questionnaires are available for download from the Bid Express website www.bidexpress.com. Bidders who are not currently prequali昀椀ed as required above or
whose prequali昀椀cation has expired MUST submit completed prequali昀椀cation
forms to Veronica Vivanco-Otero at VOtero@NJTRANSIT.com no later than
the submittal date identi昀椀ed in the Special Provisions. Late prequali昀椀cation
submissions will not be considered for this solicitation.
The Bidder must upload its bid prior to the time speci昀椀ed so that it is included
in the project download. Late bids cannot be accepted. Bids for the project will
be downloaded by NJ TRANSIT from the Bid Express website on the scheduled Bid Due Date (subject to change by Addenda) at 2:00 p.m. ET, Thursday,
June 5, 2025, and publicly opened and read immediately thereafter.
